These service providers include:

  • Google Analytics. We use it to measure how visitors use the store. It receives information about your device and browser, the pages you visit, and the products you view, add to your cart, and buy. Google can use cookies to recognize a browser that visits again.
  • Judge.me. We use it to ask you to review the products you bought, and to show reviews on our store. It receives your name, email address, phone number, and the products you bought. If you write a review, Judge.me shows it on our store with the name you give.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We use it to show our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to measure how well they work. Our store has a Meta pixel. A pixel is a small piece of code on our pages. It tells Meta about your device and browser, the pages you visit, and the products you view, add to your cart, and buy. Shopify also sends your orders to Meta from its own servers. Meta calls this the Conversions API. When you check out, Meta receives your name, address, email address, and phone number. Meta uses them to match your visit to a Facebook or Instagram account. Meta can use cookies to recognize a browser that visits again.
  • Microsoft Advertising. We use it to show our products in Bing search and shopping results, and to measure the visits and orders that come from them. A Microsoft tag on our store, called UET, tells Microsoft about your device and browser, the pages you visit, and the products you add to your cart and buy. Microsoft can use cookies to recognize a browser that visits again.
  • Reddit. We use it to show our ads on Reddit and to measure how well they work. A Reddit pixel on our store tells Reddit about your device and browser, the pages you visit, and the products you view, add to your cart, and buy. When you check out, Reddit receives your email address and phone number. Reddit uses them to match your visit to a Reddit account. Reddit can use cookies to recognize a browser that visits again. If you allow analytics, marketing, and data sharing, our server also sends these events to Reddit. It does not send them when you opt out of data sharing.
  • Resend. We use it to send you emails about your order. For example, we email you a link to watch your order print. Resend receives your email address, your order number, and the content of these emails.
  • Shopify Email. This is Shopify's email service. We use it to send our emails, such as the welcome email after you sign up and a reminder when you leave a checkout before you pay. It receives your email address, your name if you give it, and the items in your checkout. It records when you open our emails and click their links. You can unsubscribe with the link in each of these emails.
  • TikTok. We use it to show our ads on TikTok and to measure how well they work. A TikTok pixel on our store tells TikTok about your device and browser, the pages you visit, and the products you view, add to your cart, and buy. When you check out, TikTok receives your name, address, email address, and phone number. TikTok uses them to match your visit to a TikTok account. TikTok can use cookies to recognize a browser that visits again.
  • Trybe. We use it to work with the creators who make videos about our products. If you buy through a creator's link or discount code, Trybe receives the details of your order. We use them to pay the creator. If you are a creator who works with us, Trybe also keeps your contact details, your agreement, and the address we send samples to.

Photos and custom designs

When you use photo tracing, we send a prepared image of the paper and tool to our tracing service. We keep that image and the resulting outline to check results and improve the tracing tool. This includes training our image-recognition models. These tracing records have no automatic expiry date.

When you save a design that includes a photo trace, we also store the original photo and its embedded camera information. This information can include the device, lens, date, and location if your camera saved it. Location data may remain in the file even though we do not use it for tracing. We keep the original so we can check measurements and correct tracing problems.

We store saved layouts, measurements, tool outlines, generated model files, and details needed to reproduce your parts.

  • Designs that have not been purchased expire after 90 days without being opened or updated.
  • Files for an unpurchased design expire after 90 days. That period is renewed when you return to the design.
  • Original photos and generated model files for a purchased design are kept for 90 days from purchase.
  • Purchased design records have no automatic expiry date. They are our record of what you ordered.
  • Catalog and preset design files remain until deleted.

When a photo or a design file expires, or when we delete it, a copy stays in our backup storage for up to 30 more days. After that, the copy is deleted.

Our database backups also keep a copy of each design record. When a record expires or we delete it, a backup copy can stay for up to 100 more days.

We use service providers, including Google Cloud and Cloudflare, to store files and run the configurator. Shopify processes your checkout and order information as described elsewhere in this policy.

Keep people, addresses, and private documents out of tool photos. Turn off camera location tagging before taking a photo if you do not want location data included.

To request access to or deletion of your photos or designs, email contact@toolbox.shop. Include your design or order number if you have one. We may need to confirm your identity and ask for details that help us find the records. We will explain if the law requires us to retain particular information.

Using Toolbox Shop in an AI assistant

You can add Toolbox Shop to an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, as a connector or an app. When you ask the assistant to design bins, it sends requests to our server at api.toolbox.shop.

We receive only what the assistant sends to our tools. This includes the toolbox you choose, the parts you describe, and the changes you ask for. We do not receive the rest of your conversation. The company that runs the assistant handles your conversation under its own privacy policy. For Claude, that company is Anthropic. For ChatGPT, it is OpenAI.

The assistant does not sign you in. We link the designs it makes in one of two ways. Claude gets a random key from us on its first request. ChatGPT sends us a user ID that it makes for our app. This ID does not tell us your name or your email address. We store only a coded copy of the key or the ID, the name of the assistant app, and when it was last used. The key stops working 90 days after its last use.

The designs the assistant makes are saved like other designs. The periods in "Photos and custom designs" apply to them.

The assistant can show your design in the chat. That picture is a page from our website. It builds the model files on your device and uploads them to the design. It also tells us technical details, such as which browser features the chat allowed and how long the design took to build. We use them to fix problems with the picture.

When the picture shows a design, we create a product for it in our Shopify store, so you can buy it. The product's image is a picture of your layout. The product is hidden from our store's search and collections. If nobody buys it, we delete it 30 days after it was last prepared for a cart.

We log each request from the assistant: the tool it used, the design, the assistant app's name, and how long the request took. Our service providers, Google Cloud and Cloudflare, also see the IP address the request comes from. We use these logs to find errors and to stop abuse. We keep them for 14 days.
